M.K. Ince and Associates has considerable experience facilitating the interconnection of renewable energy projects to the electrical distribution system. We have worked with Hydro One as well as local distribution companies within Ontario assessing the feasibility of projects, obtaining Connection Impact Assessments, signing Connection Cost Recovery Agreements, and signing Power Purchase Agreements. As part of site planning, we will make recommendations for the routing of tap lines and locating substations in order to minimize cost and maximize energy delivered.
M.K. Ince and Associates offers the following services to assist with the electrical interconnection of renewable energy projects:
- Liaise with utilities for distribution- or transmission-connected projects
- Form A and B submissions for Hydro One feasibility and connection impact studies (for Ontario projects)
- Cost Estimate Agreements and Capital Cost Recovery Agreements (for Ontario projects)
- Site planning, including tap line routing and substation layout
- Interfacing with subcontractors for detailed electrical work
