MKI is experienced in conducting public consultation programs as an integral part of project planning and environmental assessment. We recognize the importance of gaining and using feedback from residents and landowners local to proposed projects. Our experience includes:

• Arranging for event hospitality
• Coordinating event attendee information via sign-ins and questionnaires
• Recording and analysis of, and response to, public feedback
• Informational speaking appearances at community events or educational groups

Open Houses are an important part of the public consultation process. It gives the public a chance to meet with the developers of the project face to face and get immediate answers to their questions. These Open Houses are well advertised and well attended. Information provided at the Open Houses includes information about the developers and consultants, general technology information, details of the environmental assessment process, aerial imagery of the project area, timelines and progress updates, and other project specific information. Following up on the Public Open Houses, MKI maintains contact with attendees desiring more information or expressing concerns about proposed renewable energy projects in their communities. Consultation is always an ongoing facet of project development and demands informed and timely responses.
